Beat the Heat2As temperatures in Texas continue to rise, Dr. Anderson shares some tips on how to stay healthy during these hot summer days:

1. Drink LOTS of water and fluids

2. Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing

3. Stay in air conditioned places as much as possible

4. Limit your outdoor activity to cooler morning and evening hours

5. Exercise indoors and enjoy water activities

6. Protect yourself from the sun by wearing a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen

7. Don’t forget to also keep your pets hydrated and avoid walking them on hot surfaces
